Merriam-Webster Dictionary Online: So much more than a dictionary. Play games, use the thesaurus or check out the Word of the Day! Primarily US spellings.

The Quote Garden: Terri, from Arizona, has collected over 30,000 quotes on all manner of subjects. A wonderful resource.
The Quote Investigator: Follow a quote’s evolution and trace quotes to their source with this wonderful resource.
Wikiquote: Is a “free online compendium of sourced quotations from notable people”. I love the variety and fact that the quotes have been sourced. Great for find a quote’s context.
WordHippo: Find words, rhymes, definitions and more.
