The Message of Birds by Kate Westerlund, illustrated by Feridun Oral. An old owl tells the Christmas story to the community of birds as he has done so many times before.

Smudge and the Book of Mistakes: A Christmas Story by Gloria Whelan, illustrated by: Stephen Costanza. The monastery of St. Ambrose is situated on the Irish island of Morcarrick. Here, monks old and young live quiet lives spent in prayer and service.
